ABOUT THE POSITION

RödSvart is a company focused on consulting services in IT security and secure network communication for their clients, primarily government agencies. The recent years' need to protect sensitive information has propelled RödSvart's development at rocket speed. In the autumn of 2021, the company won Dagens Industri's award for "Company of the Year - Gazelle" in Uppsala County. The workplace consists of 11 employees and is seeking reinforcement in the form of a network technician. As a network technician, you will play a central role in designing, implementing, and securing complex network solutions for RödSvart's clients, primarily within the government sector. You will work to protect sensitive information and ensure robust communication systems in demanding environments. Furthermore, you will work with VPN products and support staff during deployment. This is an independent role that requires both technical expertise and consultative skills. In your role, you will visit RödSvart's clients in the Enköping region with some occasional travel around the country.

If you proceed to an interview with RödSvart, you will be required to complete a work sample to demonstrate your networking skills. If you are hired by RödSvart, you will undergo a security clearance through them before starting. This requires you to be a Swedish citizen and not be listed in the criminal record.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Work in the network layer at clients
• Configure and manage IT systems, including Cisco and firewalls
• Ensure robust documentation of network solutions and configurations
• Provide expert support and assistance to clients regarding networks and IT security
• Participate in strategic and operational work with IT security and risk management

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Is an educated network technician, from University or Vocational School
• Has work experience from similar positions in network technology
• Has good knowledge of CISCO and basic knowledge of Linux
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English, in both written and spoken form, as the work is conducted in both languages
• Has a B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

• Work experience within total defense or other defense engagement
• Documented competence in signals protection, preferably from government work
• Programming and scripting skills
• Experience working with hardware-near systems or instruments
• A Cisco certification
• Experience working in Windows environments
